The Dallas Cowboys signed safety Gerald Sensabaugh to a one-day contract Thursday in order to allow the veteran to retire with the team.
Sensabaugh originally signed with Dallas as a free agent on March 10, 2009 and played his final four years in the league with the Cowboys.
A former fifth-round draft pick of Jacksonville in 2005, the North Carolina product started 84 of 112 games in his career and totaled 469 tackles and 14 interceptions.
