Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Seattle Sounders FC announced Thursday that the club has officially signed striker Kenny Cooper.

The Sounders acquired Cooper's rights from FC Dallas last week in exchange for midfielder Adam Moffat, but the 29-year-old only put pen to paper on a contract with Sigi Schmid's side Thursday.

Cooper has registered 72 goals and 16 assists in 188 career MLS appearances across stints with Dallas, Red Bull New York and the Portland Timbers.
