Seattle, WA – Prior to Wednesday's MLS expansion draft, the Montreal Impact worked out a deal with Seattle Sounders FC which saw the expansion club acquire left back Tyson Wahl in exchange for allocation money.
Wahl joins an MLS expansion side for the second time in his career after Seattle had selected the defender in the 2009 edition of the draft from Kansas City.
With 23 appearances this season, which yielded one goal and two assists, Wahl enjoyed a career year for Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid. He made more starts in 2011, 22, than he had in any of his previous five MLS seasons.
