Renton, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Seahawks signed linebacker K.J. Wright to a four-year extension, the team announced Thursday.
Wright has a team-leading 96 tackles this season with a career high-tying two sacks and three forced fumbles.
He has started 54 games since the Seahawks drafted him in the fourth round in 2011, compiling 339 tackles, 6.5 sacks and one interception.
"K.J. is the epitome of a team guy," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said in a statement. "We are excited to reward a player of his caliber for all the hard work he has put in over the years to become an important piece of our defense."
Wright has appeared in four playoff games, starting three.
