Seahawks' Lynch rushes for first touchdown in return to lineup

Running back Marshawn Lynch returned to the lineup for the first time since Week 3 in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Lynch, who has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in the final minute of the first half against the Chicago Bears, rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

It marked the first touchdown of the season for Lynch and put him among some pretty fair company in the franchise's record book. Lynch tied Curt Warner for second on the club's all-time list with his 55th rushing touchdown and moved past Warner for third place with 63 total TDs.

While Lynch was back after a two-game absence, middle linebacker Bobby Wagner sat out with a pectoral injury sustained in last weekend's overtime loss at the Cincinnati Bengals. Wagner was among seven injured players who missed the game for Seattle, which has a short turnaround with a road game against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
