Seattle Seahawks offensive guard Alvin Bailey said a recent Twitter posting in which he implied he would rather play elsewhwere was blown out of proportion.

"I don't think it's really that big of a deal as people made it seem," Bailey told reporters Thursday.

Bailey caused a stir among Seahawks followers on Wednesday night when he posted on Twitter: "Thinkin about 31 other cities I'd rather be in then Seattle right now ..."

While some Seattle fans interpreted it as a desire to get away from the rainy Northwest or a complaint over his lack of playing time, others jumped in tweet first and lashed back at Bailey, including one who tersely responded that he hopes coach Pete Carroll cuts the "sorry" third-year guard.

Bailey was expected to contend for a starting job this season but has taken only two snaps over the first four games for the 2-2 Seahawks, although he said Thursday his playing time was not a concern.

The offensive line has received heavy criticism after allowing star quarterback Russell Wilson to be sacked 18 times - the second-highest total in the league.
