Jamaal Franklin finished with 12 points and five rebounds, while Chase Tapley chipped in with 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Aztecs (16-2, 2-0 MWC), who ran their winning streak to nine games.

Phillip McDonald paced the Lobos (15-3, 1-1) with 20 points and Kendall Williams added 16 points and five assists. Drew Gordon finished with 15 points and eight boards, while Jamal Fenton contributed 10 points and six assists in defeat for New Mexico, which had its 13-game winning streak halted.
