Brian Scott will start on the pole for the first time in his Nationwide Series career after posting the quickest lap in Saturday's qualifying session for the Dollar General 300 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Scott turned a lap at 176.748 mph for his maiden pole in his 70th start. He was 0.02 seconds quicker than Sprint Cup Series regular Brad Keselowski.

Paul Menard qualified third, followed by Ryan Truex and Elliott Sadler.

Aric Almirola, Sam Hornish Jr., Joey Logano, Trevor Bayne and Carl Edwards completed the top-10. Logano is driving the No.18 Joe Gibbs Toyota. Kyle Busch normally drives the No.18 car, but Busch is focusing his efforts on the first Chase race Sunday at Chicagoland. He is the top seed in the 12-driver Chase field.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., the current points leader, will start 11th. Stenhouse holds a 16-point advantage over Sadler.

Angela Cope, Brian Keselowski, Jennifer Jo Cobb and Tim Andrews failed to qualify.

Saturday's 300-mile race at Chicagoland is scheduled to start just after 3:30 p.m. (et).
