Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Angels manager Mike Scioscia set his team's roster Thursday for their upcoming American League Division Series against the Kansas City Royals.
Scioscia went with 12 pitchers, meaning the Angels will go with an nine-man bullpen. The club already announced that Jered Weaver, Matt Shoemaker and C.J. Wilson will be the starters in the three-man rotation.
The Angels are also going with just a four-man bench with back-up catcher Hank Conger, infielder Gordon Beckham, outfielder Collin Cowgill and infielder/outfielder Efren Navarro expected to come of the pine.
Josh Hamilton, who was fighting a rib cage injury for most of September, was previously deemed healthy for the series and has been included on the roster.
The Angels take on the Kansas City Royals in Game 1 of the ALDS Thursday night.
