MIAMI (Reuters) - The New Orleans Saints received a surprise welcoming party at their Super Bowl hotel on Monday when the team was greeted by their coach and quarterback dressed as bellboys.
Coach Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees, along with other players who had traveled to Miami a day earlier to attend Sunday's Pro Bowl, stood at the entrance of the hotel wearing staff uniform.
"It was Sean's idea and initially it was just going to be Sean, but the fact that the Pro Bowl guys were at the hotel and were planning on greeting the team anyway, he asked that we join in," Brees said.
"It didn't go that far -- it was just the appearance us waiting on the curve, ready to serve," Brees joked, adding that he did not actually handle any luggage.
