New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and Minnesota Vikings kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson were named the NFC players of the month for September.
Graham had six touchdown receptions, the most ever for a tight end in September in NFL history, and he also tallied 27 receptions for 458 yards en route to claiming the offensive award.
Sherman earned the defensive award after notching two interceptions, returning one for a 58-yard touchdown, four passes defensed and eight tackles.
Patterson was named the top special teams performer after leading the NFL with 33.8 yards per kick return. He returned 12 kickoffs for 406 yards, including a 105-yard touchdown.
