Alex Ross passed for a career-high 370 yards and ran for two touchdowns to lead Coastal Carolina to a 59-34 win over Charlotte on Saturday.
In just three quarters, Ross matched his one-week old school record of 426 yards of total offense and the Chanticleers (10-0) finished with a school record 690 yards.
In increasing their Big South Conference record with their seventh-straight road win, the Chanticleers broke the league record for consecutive wins in a season with 10 — and scored at least 30 points in every game, also a record.
Bruce Mapp had six receptions for 118 yards and Tyrell Blanks matched Mapp's school record of 10 receptions, good for 105 yard. A week earlier they became to first duo in school history with 100 yards in the same game.
Kalif Phillips led the 49ers (3-6) with 159 yards rushing and a touchdown.
