Roethlisberger leaves game with ankle injury

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left in the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Cleveland Browns with a left ankle injury.

On a 1st-and-10 at his own 17, Roethlisberger was sacked by Scott Paxson and Brian Schaefering with under six minutes to play in the half.

Roethlisberger got his leg twisted under him on the sack and was in obvious pain as he put little weight on the left leg as he was helped off the field and into the locker room.

Charlie Batch, who had not attempted a pass all season, took over under center for the Steelers.
