Jose de Jesus Rodriguez carded a 6-under 66 on Saturday to remain atop the leaderboard after three rounds of the Dakota Dunes Casino Open.

Rodriguez, a two-time winner last year, finished 54 holes one stroke clear of the field at 16-under-par 200.

Derek Gillespie matched the course record on Saturday as he fired a 10-under 62 to jump into a share of second place at minus-15. He was joined there by James Allenby (65) and Matt Hill (66).

Gillespie's 62 matched the record that Dale Vallely and Brad Heaven set in 2008.

Joel Dahmen (65) is alone in fifth place at 14-under 202 at Dakota Dunes Golf Links. Nathan Stamey (66), Will Strickler (64) and Wes Homan (67) share sixth at minus-13.

Rodriguez did all of his scoring in a 10-hole span. Through six holes, he had a birdie and five pars. He converted three consecutive birdie chances from the seventh to jump to 14-under.

Around the turn, Rodriguez birdied the 11th and 13th to grab the lead at 16- under. He parred his final five holes to end there.

NOTES: Rodriguez won last year at the Mexican PGA Championship and Times Colonist Island Savings Open...Last year's winner Joe Panzeri managed a 2- under 70 ad is tied for 32nd.
