Rockies recall Culberson

The Colorado Rockies recalled infielder Charlie Culberson from Triple-A Colorado Springs prior to Monday's game against the Atlanta Braves.

Culberson joins the Rockies after spending the entire season with Colorado Springs, where he batted .310 with 27 doubles, eight triples, 14 home runs, 64 RBI and 63 runs scored in 97 games.

To make room on the active roster for Culberson, the club optioned infielder Jordan Pacheco to Colorado Springs.

Pacheco, who was part of Colorado's Opening Day roster, hit .229 with 10 doubles, one home run and 17 RBI in 69 games this year.
