Kheli Dube scored twice, and the New England Revolution overcame a second-half rally to beat D.C. United 3-2 Tuesday night in a play-in game for the U.S. Open Cup.
Dube scored in the 34th and 47th minutes, and substitute Alan Koger netted in the 69th for the Revolution, who advance to play Sporting Kansas City in the final play-in round.
The Revolution led 3-0 before Branko Boskovic scored in the 73rd and 83rd minutes for United.
Boskovic later left the game with an injury, forcing United to finish with 10 men.
