The Detroit Lions might be looking for some help on the defensive edges, as Aaron Wilson of National Football Post reports that they brought in defensive ends Jordan Williams and Jonathan Massaquoi, as well as outside linebacker Lawrence Sidbury, for workouts this week.
Massaquoi, 27, might be the biggest name of the bunch. He was a fifth-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in 2012 and played 39 games (seven starts) over the last three seasons. The Troy product has six career sacks.
Sidbury, 29, was also drafted by the Atlanta Falcons (2009, fourth round). He played 48 games for the Falcons and registered five sacks there, but he has only appeared in one game since 2012. Sidbury spent the last two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Williams is a former Tennessee Volunteer with no regular-season NFL experience.
