Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Cubs have reportedly signed left-handed relief pitcher Wesley Wright to a one-year contract.

USA Today first reported the deal, which is worth a reported $1.425 million, pending a physical.

Wright split last season between Tampa Bay and Houston, going a combined 0-4 with a 3.69 earned run average and 55 strikeouts in 53 2/3 innings over 70 games out of the bullpen.

The 28-year-old southpaw has appeared in 302 career games with four starts and owns a 10-15 record with a 4.37 ERA over parts of six seasons with the Astros and Rays.
