Ashburn, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Washington Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather was placed on injured reserve Friday, ending his season due to a toe injury.
The 30-year-old defensive back missed the last two games after suffering a sprained toe on Nov. 30 against Indianapolis.
On the season, Meriweather has 55 tackles, three sacks and three forced fumbles in his third season with Washington and eighth in the NFL.
In a corresponding roster move, Washington added linebacker Steve Beauharnais in advance of Saturday's game against Philadelphia.
Beauharnais has already appeared in two games with Washington this year, collecting four tackles in losses to Indianapolis and St. Louis. The former seventh-round pick from Rutgers also played in two games with New England in 2013.
