New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto was suspended one game by Major League Baseball on Friday for making contact with an umpire.
Votto was ejected from Wednesday's game in Pittsburgh after striking out in the third inning and bumped home plate umpire Chris Conroy during an argument.
He will serve his suspension Friday night against the Chicago White Sox.
