Felix Doubront pitched 1 2-3 scoreless innings in his first outing of spring training, and the Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-1 Monday.

Dubront's debut was delayed by a sore left shoulder. He gave up one hit, walked two and struck out two. He threw 43 pitches.

Rays right-hander Jeremy Hellickson, making his first start and second appearance of the spring, went three innings, allowing one run and two hits with four strikeouts. He threw 43 pitches, 31 for strikes.

The Red Sox scored a run in the third off Hellickson as Jose Iglesias hit a one-out double, advanced to third as Brock Holt grounded out and scored on Pedro Ciriaco's single to left.

Cole Figeuroa drove in a run for the Rays in the fourth with a two-out double.
