Owings Mills, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Ravens have cut ties with veteran defensive end Marcus Spears and safety Michael Huff.
Spears and Huff both signed with the Ravens this past offseason.
Spears, who was coming off eight seasons with the Cowboys, only made one start this season and managed just 10 tackles in five games played. Huff, spent his first seven seasons with the Raiders, but this year was bounced as a starter after Week 1 and only produced six tackles in seven games.
Safeties Omar Brown and Brynden Trawick have been signed off the practice squad to help bolster a lagging special teams unit.
In another roster move, the Ravens signed wide receiver Kamar Aiken and quarterback Nick Stephens to the practice squad.
