Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Rangers will be without the services of Rick Nash for at least the next two games after the team sent their prized forward back to New York to be evaluated for a possible concussion.
Nash took an elbow to the head from San Jose's Brad Stuart in the first period of Tuesday's 9-2 road loss to the Sharks and did not return. Stuart was suspended three games for the hit.
With the Rangers playing in Anaheim on Thursday and the team sending Nash back to New York, he will also miss Saturday's game in St. Louis before the club returns to the East Coast to face the Capitals in Washington on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Nash picked up three assists over New York's first three games of this year after notching 21 goals and 21 assists over 44 games during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign, his first season with the Rangers.
