The Texas Rangers on Wednesday announced an extension of their affiliation agreement with Triple-A Round Rock through the 2018 season.
"We're excited to solidify our relationship with the Rangers for the next six years," Round Rock Express CEO Reid Ryan said. "The Rangers organization continues to be one of baseball's best. Given the success of teams at lower levels within the organization this season, we know there will be a continuous stream of talent through Round Rock."
The Rangers signed their original four-year agreement in 2010, when they decided to switch their Pacific Coast League club from Oklahoma City. That pact was set to expire in 2014.
