The St. Louis Rams brought back a familiar face with Tuesday's signing of outside linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar.
Dunbar started 36 games over the previous three seasons with the Rams, but was among the final cuts in the preseason after Akeem Ayers secured a spot in the starting lineup.
St. Louis had a need at the position when leading tackler Alec Ogletree suffered a broken fibula in Sunday's 24-22 victory at Arizona.
Dunbar, who played his first four seasons with the New Orleans Saints, had a career-high 115 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks in his first season (2012) with the Rams, but his playing time diminished in each of the next two seasons.
