Paris, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Paris Saint-Germain closed out 2013 at the summit of Ligue 1 after battling to a 2-2 draw with Lille on Sunday at the Parc des Princes.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic put the defending champions in front after 36 minutes when he ripped a well-struck free kick past Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama. But the visitors responded with an equalizer one minute before the break as Rio Mavuba fired it home.
After the break, Lille had the better of the play and snagged the lead in the 53rd minute when Salomon Kalou buried a penalty kick.
It seemed that PSG would suffer defeat on this occasion, but they found an equalizer 18 minutes from time when the ball deflected in off Lille defender Marko Basa following a corner kick for the own goal.
The result sees PSG maintain the top spot in Ligue 1 with 44 points, three clear of second-place Monaco, while Lille remain in third place with 40 points.
Elsewhere in Ligue 1 on Sunday, Marseille and Bordeaux battled to a 2-2 draw in a tense affair at the Veldrome. Bordeaux opened a two-goal margin with goals from Jussie in the 34th minute and Nicolas Maurice-Belay in the 66th.
But the home side battled back with a pair of goals inside a minute from Alaixys Romao and Andre-Pierre Gignac.
The result sees Marseille up to sixth place in Ligue 1 with 29 points, while Bordeaux jumps into the top four with 31 points through 19 matches.
Also, Alain Traore's stoppage-time tally rescued a point for Lorient in a 2-2 draw against Lyon at the Stade du Moustoir. Lyon jumped out to a two-goal margin through goals from Clement Grenier and Bafetimbi Gomis, but Lorient battled back to level via Vincent Aboubakar in the 59th minute and Traore in the third minute of injury time.
