After opening with two successive draws, PSG earned its first Ligue 1 win of the season on Sunday by edging Nantes, 2-1, at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
Things started brightly for the visitors when Edinson Cavani netted the opener in the 25th minute, his second goal for the Parisians since making the summer switch from Napoli.
PSG carried the lead into the second half until a 52nd-minute own goal from Alex saw Nantes get on level terms, but Ezequiel Lavezzi scored in the 73rd minute to see the reigning champions collect all three points, bringing their total to five on the season.
Nantes has now lost back-to-back league matches since kicking off the new season with a 2-0 defeat of Bastia, leaving the club on three points through three games.
Elsewhere in the French top flight on Sunday, Salomon Kalou converted a penalty kick in the 37th minute to see Lille earn a 1-0 victory over St. Etienne while Ajaccio and Nice played to a 0-0 draw at the Stade Francois Coty.
