Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne is expected to be sidelined through the All-Star break because of a sprained knee.
Rinne was hurt during the third period of Tuesday's game against Vancouver. He will miss the next club's next three games and won't take part in the All-Star Game next weekend.
The 32-year-old native of Finland was selected to the All-Star team for the first time in his career. He has a record of 29-6-2 this season, leading the NHL in victories, and is second in the league with both a 1.96 goals-against average and .931 save percentage.
Nashville recalled goaltender Marek Mazanec from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League to serve as backup to Carter Hutton.
