Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne will be out for at least one month with a left hip infection which will require surgery.

Rinne has gone 4-4-1 with a 2.31 goals-against average and .931 save percentage thus far.

The 30-year-old Finnish backstop underwent an arthroscopic procedure on the same area of his hip in early May, which took roughly four months to be properly rehabilitated.

Rinne finished with more losses than victories for the first time in his career during the truncated 2013 season, compiling a 15-16-8 record with five shutouts, a 2.43 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.

To fill the roster spot, the Preds recalled goaltender Magnus Hellberg from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League.
