VANCOUVER (Reuters) - Germany's top sports official Thomas Bach, seen as a contender for the International Olympic Committee top job in three years, was re-elected as IOC vice president on Friday.
Bach, a lawyer and former fencing champion who won an Olympic gold medal at the 1976 Montreal Games, is considered as one of the frontrunners for the top job when current president Jacques Rogge steps down in 2013.
He was the only candidate for the post.
The new additions bring the total number of IOC members to 114. (Editing by Jon Bramley)
