Lisbon, Portugal (SportsNetwork.com) - FC Porto interim manager Luis Castro revealed on Monday that goalkeeper Helton will likely miss the remainder of the season with a torn Achilles.

The Brazilian was forced to be withdrawn in the 62nd minute of Porto's 1-0 defeat to Sporting Lisbon on Sunday, and Castro confirmed after the game that his goalkeeper had likely played his last game of the season.

"Helton's injury is serious. I think it is a complete rupture of ligaments. I'm no doctor but it is natural (to think) it should have finished his season," Castro told Sport TV.

The 35-year-old has made over 200 appearances for Porto since his arrival at the club in 2005.
