The Pittsburgh Pirates re-signed pitcher Jason Grilli on Monday.

Grilli, who missed the entire 2010 season recovering from right knee surgery, came back last year and appeared in 28 games for Pittsburgh, compiling a 2.48 earned-run average with 1.19 walks/hits per inning pitched over 32 2/3 innings.

The 35-year-old right-hander has gone 20-19 with three saves and a 4.55 ERA in 266 career MLB games (16 starts) with Florida, the Chicago White Sox, Detroit, Colorado, Texas and the Pirates.
