Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Phillies reinstated third baseman Michael Young from the bereavement list on Monday.
He was placed on the list prior to the team's contest with the Boston Red Sox on May 29.
Young is batting .258 on the season, but has struggled over his last six games with just one hit in his previous 26 at-bats.
The Phillies have optioned infielder Micahel Martinez to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
