A look at the key hole in the first round of the PGA Championship:
HOLE: 2.
YARDAGE: 593 yards.
PAR: 5.
STROKE AVERAGE: 4.936.
RANK: T13.
KEY FACT: Dustin Johnson made birdie there and grabbed the lead for the first time Thursday by laying up — instead of hitting 3-wood — to keep his round as stress-free as possible. Rory McIlroy went for the green with a "full-bore" 3-wood from 286 yards and made birdie, saying it was a sign that there was no rust on his game after a 53-day layoff due to an ankle injury.
