San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Williams Perez fired seven scoreless innings and the Atlanta Braves blanked the San Francisco Giants 8-0 in the third of a four-game set.

"From the first pitch, I felt in command," Perez said through an interpreter.

Perez (1-0) scattered four hits and walked four in his first MLB win, while Juan Uribe smacked a two-run homer among his three hits and three runs scored, for Atlanta, which had dropped four of its last five games coming in.

"He pitched well. He was in and out, he hit his spots," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said of Perez.

Andrelton Simmons had two hits and a pair of RBI and Jace Peterson added a three hits and three runs scored in the triumph.

Tim Lincecum (5-3) surrendered four runs on eight hits and two walks over 4 1/3 frames for the Giants, who had their five-game winning streak snapped.

The Braves plated a run in each of the second, third, fourth and fifth innings to jump out to a 4-0 lead.

Nick Markakis singled, Uribe walked and Todd Cunningham grounded into a fielder's choice to place runners on the corners before Simmons dumped a base hit into shallow center to plate Markakis in the second.

Peterson hit a one-out single in the third, stole second and advanced to third on Andrew Susac's throwing error. Cameron Maybin then grounded a base hit through the hole on the right side to bring home Peterson.

Uribe led off the fourth with a double, scampered to third on Cunningham's groundout and scored two batters later on Christian Bethancourt's single to left-center.

Peterson's two-bagger began the fifth and he crossed the plate on Freddie Freeman's single two batters later.

Simmons had an RBI single in the eighth, while Maybin's run-scoring single and Uribe's two-run shot in the ninth made it 8-0.
