The New England Patriots signed two of their 2013 draft picks, linebackers Jamie Collins and Steve Beauharnais, on Friday.
Collins was selected in the second round (52nd overall) out of Southern Mississippi. He began his college career as a safety before changing positions during his sophomore campaign in 2010.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pounder led the team last season with 92 tackles and 10 sacks. In 52 career games, including 34 starts, Collins racked up 314 tackles, 21 sacks and three interceptions.
Beauharnais, a three-year starter at Rutgers, was taken in the seventh round (No. 235).
