San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Padres will not face any arbitration hearings this offseason after agreeing to terms with seven players on Friday.
Six of those players -- pitchers Andrew Cashner, Shawn Kelley, Ian Kennedy, Tyson Ross and Dale Thayer and infielder Yonder Alonso -- signed one-year deals, while infielder/outfielder Alexi Amarista inked a two-year contract.
Cashner is the most notable returnee following a fantastic 2014 season that saw the right-hander pitch to a 2.55 ERA, which would have ranked 10th in the majors had he qualified. The 28-year-old had 93 strikeouts and a 1.13 WHIP over 123 1/3 innings.
