St. Petersburg, FL – The Baltimore Orioles charter flight to St. Petersburg made an unscheduled landing in Jacksonville due to a minor incident in the galley.
After the O's defeated Boston on Sunday, the team boarded a flight headed for St. Petersburg, where they will wrap up the season with a three-game set against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The plane was inspected upon landing before all crew and passengers reboarded the flight.
At no time was anyone on the flight in danger and the charter arrived at its destination without further incident.
Baltimore, which clinched a playoff berth after Texas defeated the Angels on Sunday, is tied with New York atop the AL East.
