Oxford, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson has been suspended for three regular-season games this season.
The school announced the suspension on Tuesday.
Henderson was indefinitely suspended in July after reportedly failing multiple drug tests. However, he had been practicing with the team since the fall semester began.
The 6-foot-2 Henderson will sit out the season opener on Nov. 8 against Troy as well as the first two SEC games - Jan. 9 vs. Auburn and Jan. 11 at Mississippi State. He will also miss the team's exhibition game on Friday.
Henderson led the team in scoring with 20.1 points per game last season and earned SEC Tournament MVP honors. Known as much for his scoring as his antics, Henderson often baited opposing players and student sections and frequently made headlines for his post-game comments.
The Clarion-Ledger obtained a press release from the school, which indicated the suspension was for "Henderson's total conduct during the 2012-13 season, SEC and NCAA Tournaments, and his behavior since the end of the season."
