JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson has retired from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 25-year-old Hawkinson did not specify why he is leaving pro football after parts of three seasons in the NFL. The Jaguars said the retirement was not injury-related. He was placed on the team's reserve/retired list.
Hawkinson was picked up on waivers from Philadelphia on April 4. He also played for Cincinnati in 2013, when he was a fifth-round draft pick out of Kansas, and in 2014. He appeared in two games for the Eagles last season.
