Oilers' Eager charged with assault
Toronto, ON – Edmonton Oilers forward Ben Eager has been charged with assault following an altercation at a Toronto bar over the weekend.
Eager and his brother Michael were taken into custody early Saturday morning and have since been released, according to the Toronto Star.
Both men have been charged with threatening bodily harm, causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
Ben, a 28-year-old Ottawa native, tallied eight goals and 13 points while racking up 107 penalty minutes in 63 games last season with the Oilers.
