Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Denver Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic underwent successful surgery on Wednesday to repair a partially torn left patellar tendon and will miss approximately 3-to-4 months.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
Nurkic was selected 16th overall in the 2014 draft by Chicago and packaged alongside 19th pick Gary Harris in a draft-night deal that sent the duo to Denver.
Nurkic appeared in 62 games (27 starts) as a rookie and posted 6.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game on his way to an NBA All-Rookie Second Team selection.
