Norwich, England – Norwich City defender Daniel Ayala could be sidelined two months with a knee injury, the English Premier League club announced Friday.
Ayala, 20, suffered the injury in Norwich's 4-0 loss to MK Dons in the League Cup earlier this week. He was just acquired from Liverpool less than two weeks ago on a four-year contract.
"Dani is going to be out for a few months, which is a blow," Norwich City boss Paul Lambert said. "But that is football."
Ayala had been at Liverpool since 2009, but the Spain Under-21 played just a few games and spent time on loan at Hull City and Derby County.
