COLUMBUS, Ohio – The mood was subdued in the Ohio State locker room after a big win over Wisconsin late on Saturday night.
The primary reason for the funereal feeling was the broken ankle suffered by co-captain Christian Bryant on one of the final plays.
However, there was more that was muting the celebration.
The fourth-ranked Buckeyes were well aware they have to turn right around this weekend and prove themselves all over again when they travel to play No. 16 Northwestern in yet another primetime showdown.
After the stirring and tense 31-24 win over the Badgers, coach Urban Meyer said Northwestern would be "a tough target."
