No. 2 Kentucky routs Marist

Lexington, KY – Freshman forward Anthony Davis finished with ranked Kentucky to a 58 rout of Marist in its season-opener.

Marquis Teague, another freshman, added 16 points for the Wildcats (1-0), who went 29-9 and reached the Final Four last season. They lost to Connecticut, the eventual national champion, by one point in a national semifinal.

Doron Lamb had 15 points, eight assists and five rebounds in the victory.

Isaiah Morton had 13 points to lead Marist (0-1), which won seven games over the previous two seasons.
