TAMPA, Fla. – No. 17 Wisconsin and No. 19 Auburn will meet in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1 in a matchup of Big Ten and Southeastern Conference opponents.
The game will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
The Badgers (10-3) and Tigers (8-4) are meeting for just the fourth time in more than 120 seasons of football.
Auburn won five straight to open the season, rising as high as third in the College Football Playoff ranking. But the Tigers struggled down the stretch, losing three of their last four.
The Badgers also had an up and down season. Wisconsin lost two of its first five, but recovered to win seven straight. But the Badgers ended the year by being blown out by Ohio State 59-0 in the Big Ten championship game.
