No. 1 North Carolina rips MVSU

The Tar Heels never trailed against their Southwestern Athletic Conference opponents, but the game was as close as three points with around eight minutes left in the first half.

North Carolina (3-0) used a 16-4 run to take control and carried a 41-27 lead into halftime. Tyler Zeller added 16 points and Dexter Strickland had 13 in the win.

Brent Arrington poured in 33 points to lead the Delta Devils (0-3), who have also lost to Notre Dame and DePaul this season.
