NFL hands out fines to 6 players from Lions-Bears game
Chicago, IL – The NFL has reportedly fined six players from the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears for their actions in last week's game at Soldier Field.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Bears cornerback D.J. Moore was docked $15,000 for a fourth-quarter altercation with Matthew Stafford. The Detroit quarterback threw Moore to the ground during an interception return by Tim Jennings. Moore retaliated by charging Stafford and was ejected after sparking a fracas. Stafford was fined $7,500 for grabbing Moore by the helmet.
Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley received a $15,000 fine, while teammates OL Rob Sims and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch were both fined $7,500 for rough play.
Also, Bears wide receiver Earl Bennett was fined $10,000 for a uniform violation. He wore dominantly orange shoes. This was his second offense.
