(SportsNetwork.com) - First-year Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan is keeping things close to the vest and could go in a number of different directions with the sixth overall pick.

The rebuilding Jets need plenty of help at quarterback position as well as running back on offense, and could use a big-time pass rusher on defense. And there will be no shortage the options.

It's clear Maccagnan has no interest in moving forward with Geno Smith at quarterback and veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick is obviously just a stop-gap. Trading up to draft Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota, would be the sexiest move Maccagnan could make even though the flawed Oregon prospect would need time to develop his skills for a traditional pro offense.

Now that Georgia running back Todd Gurley, perhaps the best prospect at the position since Adrian Peterson, has been given a clean bill of health, he's got to be in play as does Clemson edge defender Vic Beasley.
