The New Jersey Nets acquired center round draft pick in 2015.

"Mehmet will give us added scoring and size," said Nets general manager Billy King. "His ability to shoot the three will help space the floor."

Okur was limited to 13 games last season due to injuries to his back and one of his Achilles tendons. He racked up 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds over 13 minutes per contest with the Jazz.

A native of Turkey who was taken in the second round by Detroit in 2001, Okur has totaled 13.7 points and 7.1 boards per contest in 617 games since 2002.

He also holds a lifetime 37.8 percent mark (573-of-1,518) from beyond the arc.
